A group of men allegedly took four minor children as hostages and brutally thrashed them in a room at a paying guest (PG) facility in Gurugram’s DLF Phase 3 area. As per the police, the children were subjected to extreme brutality as they were beaten, allegedly stripped, and the accused reportedly even poured petrol on their private parts.
As per a report by PTI, the children were released after their mothers reached the spot and pleaded with the accused to release them. Soon after, they lodged an FIR and police have arrested two men.
The arrested accused told the police that they took the children as hostages as they suspected them of intending to steal from a nearby under-construction building.
As per the reports, the men allegedly stripped the children and burned them with hot spoons. They also allegedly poured petrol on the children’s private parts.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on Monday, when one of the mothers, upon returning home from work, found her 12-year-old son missing. While searching for him, she met another woman who said that her two children were also missing. Together, they began searching for their children.
During their search, they received information that several children had been locked in a room and beaten at a nearby PG facility.
“(While looking for kids) we got information that at a PG, some persons had locked about three to four children in a room and beaten them,” a part of the complaint was quoted by PTI.
Upon arriving at the PG, the women found their children and another child held captive by five to six men. Despite being abused, the women managed to persuade the kidnappers to release the children after persistent pleading.
A formal complaint was filed on Tuesday, which led to the registration of an FIR and the arrest of two suspects. The search for the remaining perpetrators continues.
