
On this Republic Day, CCDT reaffirmed its belief that we all play an important role by supplementing initiatives that benefit society and strengthen our communities. On this occasion, CCDT, along with key stakeholders, took the initiative to conduct an awareness and pleadge to eliminate and promote Child Marriage Free Mumbai, Maharashtra followed by the national flag hoisting ceremony at the Collector’s Office.
In the presence of esteemed dignitaries and Members of Parliament, a collective pledge was taken to end child marriage.
Hon. Ms. Aanchal Goyal (I.A.S.), Collector and District Magistrate, Mumbai City, and Hon. Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister in the Government of Maharashtra and MLA, along with DWCD Officer Ms. Shobha Shelar and Mr. Deepak Tripathi, Child Protection Lead, CCDT, led the Republic Day programme focused on eliminating child marriage.
The true spirit of a Republic lies in unity and collective action for positive change. This reminds us that when we come together, we can build a future where every child is protected, empowered, and given the opportunity to thrive.
